My jeep doesn't like to sit either, so I bought a battery tender and extended the wires up to the grill. When I pull in the garage i just grap the plug from the tender and plug it back in. Probably would help if I would drive it more

This is what I have

Eric,

Have any more info on the alternator swap? I did a similar conversion on my 03 ram 1500 and it was pretty easy for that. Would love to do the same to the jeep, but have had trouble finding exact info on what will fit my 06 LJ.

Thanks

160 amp alt from an 05 up durango with a 4.7 in it is what I got mine from

you just dont use the 3rd mounting tab, it will clear your coil rail by just a hair or you can cut the tab off, either way.

if you take yours to compare, you'll see the're clocked the same except for the third tab that sticks off the back of
the case
