I just watched
on youtube. I plan on running 37's when I get my JL. Why not keep the stock spare? I'm be off-roading in Maui. Although there's plenty of places to use the Rubicon, none are too far from the pavement. Should I get a flat I'll put the spare on the front and head to town to get the 37 fixed. Most of the pavement home is 35 MPH max, although there is 15 miles of 50 MPH.

Welcome to ROF! A smaller diameter spare tire should work okay with open diffs (not locked up.) If you lock the diff, the tires won't travel at the same speed - at least that's my take on it. I've been on trails with folks having a smaller spare. I don't run with a spare but carry two plug kits, one kit is for trucks (I have 37" Nittos.)
