Tuffy Underseat drawer

I have the fold and tumble seat and am thinking about the underseat drawer. Looking at the tuffy site and specs it looks like the fold and tumble version is about half the size of the other version. For those that have the smaller drawer do you think its worth the money and how much can it really hold? Is there a way to modify the bracket for the larger drawer? I installed a Mastercraft seat and the tumble feature no longer works anyway. Has anyone gotten one of these drawers to work on the passenger side? How does the Bestop drawer compare to the tuffy?

I have tried to fit the larger version of the fold and tumble from an 03-04 in the 05-06 with the slide and fold seat and there is no way it will fit. Jeep decided to put a huge bar right in the center. Do you have any pics of the mastercraft seat or does it reuse the stock mounting bracket? Last time I checked, Tuffy has yet to release the 05-06 slide and fold seat drawer.

I'll have to check the Tuffy site again-I looked last night or the night before and thought I saw they had them ready to go. Did NOT order one though to see if it said backorder or not...

I am kinda curious with the seat risers if it would work or not. Haven't looked under there lately, but I do keep a bunch of crap under there anyway. The bar Greg mentions is right in the way though so not sure if the risers make that much difference or not to allow the other to fit. There is a size difference. Curious how far the '05 style sticks out from under the seat. Need to do something here pretty soon.

I forget exactly how your Mastercraft seat is setup Dirk. Not sure what style would be best for you. David may know and I think he stocks these. Not sure how far you are from his shop though. Might be worth a call.

Best of Luck,

Mike

They do still work with the seat risers but you can not fit the full length in an 05-06 slide and fold seat unless you run a 3" seat lift in order to fit the bar over it. I even took the seat out trying to get it to fit.
yea the mastercrafts reuse most of the stock brackets so the bar is still there. I don't remember from when I installed if the bracket could just be cut out. I would think it's there more for stability when the seat is being tumbled and since mine doesn't do that I may be able to remove it. The tuffy site list both drawers and all measurements including volume 336 cubic inches vs 128. I was hoping someone might have them and be able to say if they think it is plenty of room or not worth the money and effort to install. They are still $90. I will plan to give david a call but wanted to see what others think on here. I have read a few posts from those who like them. I saw Ryan's in his JK and thought they were awesome but JK stuff seems to be a little nicer than TJ/LJ stuff. It might even be worth ordering a new bracket that doesn't tumble ($100) just to get the larger drawer. I am sure I could recoup a little of that selling the old seat with bracket.

Gregert I saw your posts that you have installed both types did you try the passenger side at all?
