I have a 2006 LJ Rubicon. I replaced the stock radiator with an aluminum one and soon developed leaks from the core or welds. I replaced it with another one and had the same issue. I purchased one from Griffin . I replaced all hoses, water pump and and after a few months it too was leaking from somewhere inside the core. One thing to mention is that I have been running "water wetter" with all of these and wonder if that's the issue. Any advice would surely help.

What are folks running in their Jeeps and what is recommended?

Several options for OEM radiators on Rock Auto. The consensus is the stocker is superior to aluminum aftermarket types....and much cheaper.

Buy a genuine Mopar radiator, I have a thread somewhere on ROF where I detail my experience with three or four different cooling system configurations. Bottom line - keep the cooling system stock and use Mopar antifreeze. Seriously.

I heard more than one experience with Griffin radiators like you're describing. That's unfortunate, the OEM style with plastic tanks crimped to the tubes doesn't seem like it would be as durable, but real world use says otherwise

Yup. I tried cheap internet, Griffin, and Mopar. Mopar lasted and did its job.
