Could some one please shed some light on the difference between a semi float and a full float rear axle? This came up when a friend was bragging about the upgraded D35 in his jeep, I was unsure of the benefits and short comings so I could not debate this with much authority. thanks for any info.
If it was free it would not even be worth the scrap metal.
After watching 2 die a quick death on the trails yesterday under very light wheeling conditions I figure the only thing worth anything on a D35 is the very outer hub.
It has a good bolt pattern that you can use for: tire carriers, hang tires/wheels on wall, making the wife a stand for her plants...
I was thinking the same thing about the cost, but it was not free...
thanks for the link it was helpful, but it dosen't list any good points to the semi floating axle.
