I bought a used 2018 Rubicon Recon edition trim package. I notice it is supposed to have an "upgraded Dana 44" in the front. what does this mean? what did they do differently?

Thicker axle tubes (marginally) and larger axle tube ends, where your ball joints are. I think you got a thick diff cover also. It is the same as a ultimate dana 44.

I have a pair in my 2011 that nicely copes with 392 ci hemi power. The elockers are nice (new to me).
