Can anyone tell me how much total thread is in the new Rubicon Express adjustable rear upper control arms? i looked at their site but couldn't find the information... will call in the new year if no one knows.

Basically I want to know how long you can make them safely... with good thread engagement.

thanks for any help.

I cant tell you off hand how long the threads are. But the rule is that how ever thick the threaded end is (let's say 1") then you need the other part threaded on there at least that much, 1" in this example.
Yeah... i found that out after I installed them...

I know I have them dialed out about an inch over stock length. On the table I adjusted them 1/4" over stock and then another 10 turns while under there... at 1/16th a turn... that is 10/16th (same as 5/8th) plus the 1/4 (same as 2/8) gives 7/8th ... just under an inch.

If I can't get a definitive answer I may have to remove one.. mark it and dial it out to check... no big deal really.. one bolt.
I asked the same ? When doing mine look at my post it's in there I would give you the link but I am my phone and th copy past thing don't wana work.

the minimum rule of thumb is that you want 1 and 1/2 the thickness of the bolt inside the sleeve.
The one installed on the jeep is mine and the other is a pic I stole from Deerhunters thread... I would say I have plenty of thread engagement.

mine installed
