Maybe this has been noticed before, but in looking at Goodyear's MT/R specs the Rubicon's OEM wheel/tire combination does not fit Goodyear's approved rim width for the 245/75R16 BSL that comes on the Moab wheels. Max approved width is 7.5" and we know the Moab is 8". See the chart here -

If a previous post is correct and DC changed their minds about putting on 32's due to liability, you would think they would be concerned about this too. Interesting that DC would put together a tire/wheel combo that appears to be a mistake.

Or am I missing something?

The approved rim widths have a HUGE safety margin in them, and everyone including the tire manufacturers ignores them.
Jeep knows that everybody wants 8" rims, so that's what they used.
The 30" tire package on regualr TJs has 8" rims as well, but with more backspacing.
