Hey im new here, and i just purchased my first jeep ever monday. Its a 07 Rubicon and on my way to work today after starting it and letting it warm up the battery light came on followed by the sway bar, abs, traction control, and pretty much all of them. Then it wouldnt accelerate at all so i whipped in a parking lot where it died and will not even turn over. It clicks like the battery is dead but the lights had me worried. I purchased from a friend for a good deal so no warrenty. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks :?

What!! I didnt even know about that! I just got it Mon so i hadnt had time to read book or anything. I have a mechanic checking the battery and alt i was just checking to see if someone had ran accross this before. Thanks for the codes i will see what he says and then i will see if there are any codes. Thanks again!!
take the cheep route, and put a battery in it first
yeah i wish i wasnt at work so i could be figuring it out! This sucks but hopfully its just the battery or alt and not the cpu or something.
Battery sounds toasted. I believe these newbie vehicles require a constant amount of voltage. Not sure if the alt can provide that with a bad battery. I could be wrong though.

Once the battery is dead, nothing will work and the vehicle will go into limp mode. It happened on a 03 Trailblazer twice. :(
Back when I was a pup and had battery problems (very poor back then) I'd get a jump, disco battery and do my running around. That old truck ran like that for months. I even got smart a few times and would kill it on a hill. Lol

From my understanding these new vehicles won't do that. I do know they won't start with less then 12.2 volts. Bodyshops are very hard on batteries.
I have run batteries dead in both my rubi and my XJ I had before that on a few occasions. I still to this day have not been able to pop start either jeep EVER. it seems that if the battery does not have enough juice to crank, it doesnt have enough pop start.
The shop charged it while i was at work and said they couldnt find any codes or anything wrong. I picked it up, ran some arrends and my last stop i tried to start and it fired and immediatly cut off. Did this a couple more times and then finally started and stayed running. PCV valve? Im llost till i get a chance to look at it.
Was the shop a jeep dealership?
my 03's battery was going bad and started flashing all sorts of dash lights and making the guages look like windshield wipers, changed the battery, and all was good. they don't like low power, the computer wants full voltage or it throws a fit and doesn't want to play, as mentioned, just get a new battery.
could also be a bad TIPM , def check battery first tho
Check yer battery with a volt meter. With engine off should read ~12Volts DC. Start engine. Now should read ~14 volts DC

Yep, and besides it's not a new Jeep anymore, and has likely been replaced with a Camry.
