I typically log in and select "New Posts" to catch up on what's happening here.
The post below keeps coming up as new, yet I can not open page 2

I have tried several different options to select page 2, including manually adding "-2" in the url. Once I hit enter "-2" is removed and I'm back on page 1.

Anyone else having this problem?
Should I try to comment on that post to see what happens?

This isn't an emergency by any means, just frustrating.

Update:
I'm using Chrome, just tried IE and was able to go to page 2.
Hope that helps determine the problem.

I can't answer your question because I never tried "NEW POSTS" but I like using "ACTIVE TOPICS" to see what conversations are going on and what has been recently posted.

OK... I clicked on 'NEW POSTS". I see it is a list of the most recent new posts whether new comments have been made or not. Try "ACTIVE TOPICS". Two different ways of viewing recent activity. One shows the posts that could sit dead for awhile and the other shows the most recent replies or posts of any thread.

Sorry - I missed this yesterday. The behavior I get is if I select New Posts is latest new posts, Last day is last day, Last 2 Days is a cumulative list of the last two days, etc. The behavior seems okay to me (I'm using the latest Firefox.)

It doesn't allow me access through "Active Topics" either.

That being said, I still prefer to use "New Posts", if you click directly on new posts without making a selection in the pull down it only displays posts that have been active since you last read them.
The "Active Posts" option shows all the posts that were previously read and has the new unread ones in bold. That is too much scrolling for me. :)

Anyway like I said this one thread is the only one that I have trouble with, never had an issue with any other ones.
I'll just check it with IE if I ever need another battery. It still comes up as unread no matter how long it's been since the last posting.

Of course this is how it works for me, YRMV.

Thanks

Okay, I just tried Active Topics with Chrome and something is broken either with the Chrome browser or vBulletin, there is no page 2, page 3, etc.

Edit: I was looking at Active Topics and not New Posts, everything is working fine with my Chrome browser (Version 55.0.2883.87 m).

if you can't get to page 2, it could be a cookie issue on your browser. Or it's a syncing issue on our end. I don't have a problem on my side so I think it should be a cookie issue. and you mentioned that you ere able to get to page 2 on IE, so it does back up my claim.

I read this post-under "New Posts"-and immediately went to the battery thread, page 2 opened.

I didn't do anything differently or change anything on my end. Anyway, all's well.

Like I had said not a big deal, but thanks for your efforts to help.

A computer brain fart maybe?
If referring to my computer, that is very possible.

I have had all kinds of frustrating behavior over the years with my laptop.
However, all the other threads worked normally. That one thread would show that new posts were available, I just couldn't access them with Chrome.
I didn't change anything on my end - not saying nothing changed - and it now works as normal again.
Hopefully it stays this way.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
