Need to bend exhaust at a current 90

577 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Rockunlimited2
Hey all,

What is the best way to bend the exhaust that is the 2nd 90* from the manifold? (On the passenger side of the engine bay.)

The thing keeps rattling on the front upper control arm mount. Thus far crowbars and cursing will not work; and a longarm kit is out of the question.

Will a regular propane torch be hot enough? or should I pick up a mapps gas? I rather not use the plasma cutter so any ideas?

Either knock a dent in it with a BFH or take to a muff shop, should cost less then WalMart propane bottle kit.

I've tried the propane torching on a muff pipe before without much luck other then kinking the pipe. Maybe someone will have a few pointers.
Go to a muffler shop. They have the correct tools to do this without damaging the exhaust or anything else. It will be much faster and cost less money than DIY.
I agree. Find a good shop, local boy who you can start a good rep with, he may even do it for free. I will be far easier and less headache to go this route.

Best of Luck,

Mike
