I have tried to post replies that may be a paragraph in length and when I click the "submit" button I get a dialog box that says the "message is too short, must be longer than 3 characters."

I also have had it happen. For me it was when posting from my IPad.

Also when you attempt to respond, are you using the basic "post reply" function or using the Go Advanced function?

I'm usually using FF on the PC and Chrome on the tablet - basic post reply mode.

Happened a couple times to me and I'm using a Mac. If I remember correctly, which is subject to question, occurred after the last web update.

Whenever that happened to me I just add a few insignificant words. It may make what I am saying sound stupid but at least it sends.

Edit: Can't recreate yet. Is it repeatable? Next time it happens, save what you were typing in a word file or your preferred method, clear out your cookies and cache and try it again. Otherwise, anyone have any adblockers or other plugins installed on their browsers? Lets look for a common trait.

Chrome PC AdBlocker

This is an edit after the above test. Test post was with a laptop using Chrome and ad blocker on.
Used quick reply, which I normally don't do as I like to preview my posts first.

I was using a desktop with IE as the browser, bad thing is the post disappears, you have to re-enter everything if you want to post. It has happened at least twice in the last month.

Sometimes I get spooked that a post I'm working on might be lost so I'll do a Control A (select all) and then a Control C (copy to clipboard) in the message entry window. Saved my bacon more than once.

Do you have a special character withing that post? this can cause text in the text box to not be seen.

FWIW, I had this problem when I used MSN to access ROF. Once I switched to IE for access it went away.

Has anyone been having this issue still, and can provide some information as per Kevin/Richards post?

We're still on the lookout from our end to see if we can catch it happening.

I don't think it's happening frequently enough to pin it down.
