I ordered this for my Christmas present. I have plenty of firearms, so, I figured I would get another radio to add to my dust collectors. LOL It's just a UV-5R or UV-82 in a different costume.

I looked at that one. I won't be in the rain, plus I like the military styling of the AR-152. The others are less expensive for sure.

I almost opened the radio this morning. I made some Jimmy Dean hot sausage, eggs over easy, and toast. Then I let the eight Shepherds have the plate. Have you ever seen eight Shepherds lick a plate with nothing left on the plate. It's entertaining, and they were happy. They are back to sleeping.

The radio is rated ip54, so not waterproof. No, I did not open it. I looked it up.

I opened the radio, it feels much better in the hand than the little UV-5R or the UV-82.

Elff, when you programmed your radio, did you put all the gmrs/frs freq. in the radio?

I did. Here is how mine and the ones I programmed for my friends, are setup
Left Column is position on the Radio
Middle Column is the Frequency
Third Column is the Display

I put marine freqs on my list since I'm 21 feet from being underwater. I did not think about putting weather on the list.
I've got to plug the radio into this pc and see if there will be any driver issues with the cable.

Radio is sitting where I left it. I am going to put Chirp on my laptop, since there may be the possibility of having to go mobile.

I still have not programmed the radio. I did order a spare battery. I need to program this thing before Xiden/Xi war, or should I say Xiden/Xi/Putang war.
