Saw this on another board, Lets see what everyone has done to their rig for $100 or less. Let's leave out painted bezels, took of the milk jugs, etc. Those have been covered a millions times. What else have you done?

I am not listing mods you can just buy for less than $100. There are many such things.

1. Dual battery tray for under $20.
2. Extra locking latch from warn spare carrier to tailgate for stability (~$20 in parts)
3. Locker pump relocation to engine bay
4. Made my own cargo net all around with 1.5" nylon webbing and 1.5" plastic buckles everywhere it attaches to the roll cage.
5. Bicycle shifter hand throttle

Edit ... forgot my most favorite:

6. 4" round LED tail lights cut into the tub
7. 2" round LED marker lights cut into the sides of the rear quarters
8. Flasher mod to make the LEDs work.

... and

9. $7 camping chair cover winch cover :)

Yeah, I'm talking DIY mods. Ones you can't buy.

Oo, OOw!

I made this for less than $100. 'Took a bit of time 'cause it was an "experiment" in execution.

The trick was to bend .120 wall square tube without a bender. I made a bunch of cuts (about 17 per curve) through 3 sides of the square. Bent the curve by hand, then TIG'd the cuts back up.

Made my own mount for a KB 40 antenna. Can't remember if I bought anything for it, but I'll call it $3.50.

Seat lock. Another freebie as I had a lock.

RE 1/2" bushing into a JKS track bar axle end. $10.00

Plywood Jeep Trunk $15.00

Alright Bob, tell me more about the seat lock. What does it do?

Just another deterrent. I have the fold-forward seat, fold and tumble or whatever it's called. I fold it all the way forward and stick a lock in a hole I drilled and it just adds one more thing for a thief to defeat before he owns my Jeep. No way to get behind the wheel with that seat tumbled forward.
Hey that's pretty clever! I wonder how long till we see a "Jeep Seat-Lock Kit" on Quadratec for $69.99 :D

Is that for chrome or black finish?
 :rotflmao:
Added an antenna mount to my jeep. Just welded a 1/8 inch tab on the corner armor. Cut a slot in the back of in my license plate bracket and a hole behind the plate to access the cable and hardware. Drilled one hole for the antenna to go through. Pretty clean looking. I am sure I am not the first to do this. Not much money just a little time.

Are you talking about what you see in the pic above? Not stock hinges. I got rid of them and made my own.

My spare mounts to them now.
