HVAC problems again

What can be the cause of my hvac system not wanting to switch out of defrost & floor mode on an '03 Rubi? Have replaced blend door actuator & also the entire switch or control module. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced. Kirk

I would start by checking all your vacuum lines for leaks. I’ve had those leaks cause your issue and also cruise control issues. I have a 2004.

did some service manual reading, may not help. Basically they say to do what you did, replace it.

Also, blend door needs to be tested with a DRBIII scan tool

Not much help from me, the vacuum line is a good call as well. Could also be the actuator signal, or the door getting stuck...

I do not have cruise control issues right now. Could it still be a vacuum line problem?
Yes, my mention of cruise control was only a secondary point.

Yes found the cracked plastic line finally. Right at the one going into the firewall at the AC. Just cut it shorter working great now. So hard to see it the first 2 times I looked for it. Thank you so much for the information.

Glad you found it. That’s actually where my leak was with the same symptoms, but I didn’t want you to focus on that too much. I once caused a leak myself by knocking off a grommet with my clumsy hands.
