How do you mount your cell phone in the jeep?

Having my phone with charging cable sitting on my lap or a cupholder or loose up in front of the shifter leaves a lot to be desired with gps maps and music changing. What's the good mounting options out there? I see a ball mount plate from bulletpoint mounting that looks kinda neat that goes in the top dash space and has an arm that comes out on a ball mount. Not a lot of great spots on the dash that aren't in the way. What are you all using?

I always carry my phone on my belt in an Otterbox holster. If I had to bail out of my Rubi (or my tractor or whatever) I want my phone on my person.

Is the weathertech Cup Holder mount tall enough to work for you?
Other option would be a clip mount to a vent or get one of those CD Changer mounts.
I'd stay away from a sucker mounted one to the windshield.

If you don't mind drilling 4 small permanent holes in your dash, you could try

You screw the mount directly into a convenient spot on the dashboard, and then attach the mobile phone holder to that mount.

That one is kinda like it. Maybe this dang targeted ad was a good one.

I use this vent clip and it works great - even off-road: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PGJWYJ0

The weight of the phone obviously makes the vent rotate down, but I rest the bottom of my phone on the top of the head unit and it stays in place. You kind of have to slide the phone to the side to prevent pulling the clip out, but once you get the hang of it, it's very easy.

67 Designs base with Bulletpoint attachments. Rock solid.
Probably would have gone all 67D but they don’t have much inventory and I wasn’t willing to wait.
Equal quality. Both ridiculously expensive. Not sure you need carbon fiber technology for a phone mount, but it looks cool, I guess.

I have to say my cell phone isn't important enough to get a mount for it, for one if I'm going to be out playing I'm trying to get away from dealing with calls and text and most likely will be out of cell service anyways. 😄

I use this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B016165PDS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think there is a similar one for a TJ. The part that holds the phone gets terrible reviews, but since it uses a mall mount I just swapped it with another phone holder I already had. I've gone through several of the suction cup mounts but they either don't stick at all or melt off.
This set up utilizes a magnet on the back of you phone, works great. 67 Design

just to tie this thread off, i did end up going bulletproof with the screw in to the dash mount. Been working great for good while now. Got my rockhard cage in now as well and just got some mounts to mount it up onto the bar as I also got a double din stereo and that center dash console was replaced with a new one. The cage mount should be even better now. Anyone looking, the bulletproof options are pretty legit! Handled moab for a week holding my phone over everything with no drops. The arms are nice even to be able to move and get a decent enough forward view to record videos from using the phone in it as well.

Nice! Thanks for following up. I actually became a bulletproof convert as well. I like the bullet bottle opener they provided that now lives in my center console :)

I agree... my phone has only fallen probably 1-2 times over the last couple years of off-roading and I attribute that to me inaccurately placing it on the magnetic mount.
