2014 manual transmission, when l release the parking brake headlights turn on and won't go out unless parking brake is set, is this normal for a manual transmission jeep?

I figured as much, I'm not a fan of daytime running lights mainly because too many people use them as headlights even at night. I can only assume they don't realize that it doesn't turn on their taillights making them almost invisible from behind.

I know some cars have a dash accessed menu to turn things like that on and off. Yours? I just have a simple 2004.

My 2014 with manual does not have daytime running lights. I believe that was not an option from Jeep back then. However an aftermarket device like an AEV Procal can be used to create DRL. If I remember correctly you can even choose between headlights, fog lights, or marker lights.
