Favorite carry gun?

Curious what's everybody carrying, either open or concealed. My very favorite now is the Sig P365XL. I've carried an M&P 9C, as my first EDC - flawless performer but almost twice the weight of my Sig.

I also carried a Sig P239 chambered in 357 Sig. It had a decocker and was SA/DA - first trigger pull was 10 pounds, then when in DA mode it was 5 pounds. I stopped carrying it when I had a fail to fire. I needed to put down an antelope (forgot why) - pulled the trigger and nothing happened. I sent it to Sig then later field stripped it and gave it an ultrasonic bath. So that one is now a safe queen.

Then I bought a Ruger LC9s. When I was breaking it in the magazine would randomly fall out - not my fault! 😯 Sent it back to Ruger and they replaced the frame. I was carrying it for a while but I never trusted it fully - not good for a carry gun to maybe save your life some day. So it's basically another safe queen.

Most of my friends also carry, some like a small revolver. You have to admit very little can go wrong with a wheel gun.

My favorite handgun (too large to carry for me) is a Sig P226 chambered in 357 Sig. Special Forces used to carry these. Close behind is a 1911 in 45ACP - great gun, quiet report and very fun to shoot.

I have no idea where the packages are.
I've talked to the senders, the meds are being resent, and the other package I have to wait till Monday, and call back. Maybe UPS will miraculously find them.
I do feel less stressed after talking to the senders, though.

Our UPS drivers are great. Once in a great while a relief driver will leave a package at our gate (600' from the house) but our regular driver always brings them to our house.

My past drivers have been good. The latest ones are not good. UPS is now saying the parcels were mis-marked as delivered and will be delivered today, even though the status still shows as being delivered Saturday. I am having a difficult time believing them based on my experience with UPS customer service. I'm half expecting to received packages that have been taped back shut.
Oddly enough, my Fed X driver is good, but he informed me today he is going to another position in Fed X. This is disheartening as the new driver will likely be one of the entitled.

Wow, UPS has some winners here. The driver turned down a side road across the street from me and delivered my packages to another residence. I watched the female reading the labels, and then go in the house. I guess they thought they hit the jackpot when they did not have to be porch pirates.
I'm standing at my gate pointing at the big numbers, and the driver figured it out, went back to the house knocked on the door and got my packages back.
This nations goose is cooked with this generation.

LOL, and I just had Amazon bail on my delivery today. The McDonald workers these delivery companies hire around here seems a bit sketchy to me.

Unfortunately lots of young people would rather live with mom and dad and play video games instead of starting a work career.

Now this is nuts, Amazon is now telling me if I have not received my package by the 22nd, they will give me a refund. The thing is, the package has been at their facility for two days. All it had to do is go from one part of the building to another, but they say it is delayed in transit. I am so annoyed by these delivery services around here. Amazon is going to give me 10 bucks for the delay. I want my stuff, now I'll have to reorder and wait again.

Amazon is not being truthful with me about my package. I am going to start ordering products from other online vendors, instead of giving money to the People's Republic of Amazon/China.

Sadly, others aren't any better, but their return policies are worse
At least with Amazon, if you complain enough, you can get them to give your credit. My Coworker is a pro at that.

Amazon did give me a 10 dollar promotional, to be used on Amazon sold products. I also received my package the local depot was sitting on.

I ordered a tactical light for my AR Pistol finally.
It was kind of the last piece of the puzzle so I have a fully functional self defense gun even at night.
Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 Weapon Light with Tapeswitch - 350 Lumens

What I liked about this one, was the fact that it can use a AA battery as a back up, with a slightly reduced output.
Alot of the Surefire lights, only last 1 hr on a CR125 battery. I was worried that they would be dead when I actually needed them to work, even though they are highly rated. Also, the SureFire lights are very expensive.

Amazon has been good to me. A few months ago I ordered a foam fire extinguisher from an Amazon 3rd party seller. In shipment somehow the handle safety device was broken and the extinguisher partially discharged. So I tried to return it for being 'defective' and that was not an option. So I talked to Amazon and they refunded me the ~200 bucks (yup, expensive.)

Finally got all the parts and pieces to add a long gun Streamlight (1,000 lumens) to my shotgun so it will be ready for home defense. Hopefully that need will never ever happen though. Anyway the next step is to put about 50 shotshells through it so it will be broken in and I can use reduced recoil shells (it's a semi-auto.)

I have one of the name brand lights on my shotgun. It has had the same battery in it for 9-10 years. I have the light set to strobe to momentarily blind the rat before it attacks. I have not put a light on the pistol yet, or laser. They are both sitting here. I can't decide which I want on the pistol.

My light arrived. It is really small. Im waiting for the sun to go down to test it out, but on a AA it seems very bright.
It actually fits on the top rail out of the vision of the baby Acog, but I ordered one of these, so I could put it on the right side and put the pressure switch on the top.

So I played around with different locations and decided that I really do not like the remote switch. I don't shoot with my thumb on the top rail. So after initially setting up the flashlight on the right side of the barrel, I moved it to the left side so I could operate the push switch with my thumb. This works with the sling attached and not attached.

The other thing that amazed me was how bright this little flashlight is. it's like turning on the sun and even 1 acre away, the light is very focused.

Great looking setup! Figuring out where to mount a light switch is always a dilemma on a shortie like yours.

If I knew this turned into a bash delivery companies thread, I would have been in sooner. Ohhh I have stories.

As for carry guns, I hope I never get to the point that I feel I need to. Have em, but don't feel the need in day to day life to carry.
