Favorite carry gun?

Curious what's everybody carrying, either open or concealed. My very favorite now is the Sig P365XL. I've carried an M&P 9C, as my first EDC - flawless performer but almost twice the weight of my Sig.

I also carried a Sig P239 chambered in 357 Sig. It had a decocker and was SA/DA - first trigger pull was 10 pounds, then when in DA mode it was 5 pounds. I stopped carrying it when I had a fail to fire. I needed to put down an antelope (forgot why) - pulled the trigger and nothing happened. I sent it to Sig then later field stripped it and gave it an ultrasonic bath. So that one is now a safe queen.

Then I bought a Ruger LC9s. When I was breaking it in the magazine would randomly fall out - not my fault! 😯 Sent it back to Ruger and they replaced the frame. I was carrying it for a while but I never trusted it fully - not good for a carry gun to maybe save your life some day. So it's basically another safe queen.

Most of my friends also carry, some like a small revolver. You have to admit very little can go wrong with a wheel gun.

My favorite handgun (too large to carry for me) is a Sig P226 chambered in 357 Sig. Special Forces used to carry these. Close behind is a 1911 in 45ACP - great gun, quiet report and very fun to shoot.

Hope to get some range time tomorrow, we had a strong cold front blow in last night. I recorded a gust of 41 mph and a 10 minute average wind of 26 mph. Thank goodness it's not in the 30s or 40s.

Yep, the weather has been bad here also. The dogs do not like it.
I've not done much in over a week. I cut the grass last Friday, and whenever I walk more than a few feet my hips hurt bad, so cutting grass for several hours is excruciating. I am still walking somewhat gingerly. I have had the TENS unit on every day. I did ride the bike 23 miles, a short ride. It's a good thing riding does not inflame my hips.
I have not sighted in the new scope on the Benjamin, and now rain, and more rain.

Does anyone use a battle belt? Recommendation on an economical one, but not junk for us poor people.
Update: I found one I will try. Vet owned company, Made in Amerika belt with a very good price. This belt has inner/outer belt, he has another that does not.
I will not be going into combat with this, just to my gate or in the yard when required, most likely you will not see me, not unless you come in the house. lol

Got back from the range a while ago. I shot my new Tisas (Turkey) 1911 A1, and I'm disappointed. The sights are off, I was consistently hitting to the left and the included magazines are basically a desk ornament. They refuse to feed even with 7 rounds, I tried my Wilson Combat magazine with 7 rounds and it was flawless. I think I'm going to get the rear sight adjusted and put it up for sale or trade.

Shot the two B&Ts and they were 100% reliable as expected.

I still have not sighted the scope on the Benjamin, between rain, and not feeling like moving lately it continues to sit in the corner. :)

Our weather is also interfering with gun fun. I was thinking about going to the range this morning but another cold front just blew through and the rain that we badly need passed us by yet again. So it's blowing like crazy and overcast.

The first magazine I shot with the new Tippman M4-22 (AR in ,22 caliber) had several fail to feeds but I think I wasn't careful enough when loading the magazine. They have very specific instructions - hole hold the magazine vertical and only pull the follower down just enough to insert a bullet.

As far as the rifle goes, the build quality is excellent and it is lightweight. I was initially concerned about it being too heavy for dear wife (heavier than the Ruger 10/22) but it's just fine as far as weight.

The 25 round magazine that should have been included with the Tippman was missing. Long story short, Palmetto State Armory was apparently pulling the magazines out of the boxes to fulfill a promotion of an extra magazine included with a rifle purchase. PSA said my choices were: return the rifle, get a $50 credit or get with Tippman. (I already bought three extra magazines before the gun arrived.)

So I called Tippman and they said I was the third person complaining about a missing magazine! I filled out a warranty claim and they will send me a replacement, Tippman support was quick to answer the phone and the person was English as a first language (y).

John, are you using lead bullets or copper jacketed. Eons ago, I would have this issue with my 10/22 till I went to jacketed, long rifle rounds.

I was using CCI Veloceraotor Dinosaur Kill 'em Dead Lethal Exploding bullets :giggle: . Not sure if they are lead or jacketed. Our 10/22 eats anything in the magazine.

I'm hoping to wake up, and feel up to riding my bike.
I did put some fancy oil on the friction points on the AR pistol. I need to do the same on my Sig AR.
There has been no word on the disabled range yet. It would be nice to have someone to shoot with, otherwise I would goto the range sight the pistol and come home.:)

Im cool with going solo to shoot. Most of the time at my range, there is no one else on the rifle range, so I can do what I want.

There's usually nobody at my membership-only range. When I'm alone I'm super careful (try to be all of the time though.)

It's one of the reason's I love my Walker Ear muffs

I can be downrange at the 100 yard mark hanging targets and I can hear people in the parking lot, so I know someone is on the way.

I am dying to try out this new trigger. I mean, It's literally the best trigger ever.
:ROFLMAO:

I got some new bags too, so I am really going to dial in the Baby Acog. Gonna make sure that thing is dead on at 50.
I have also been doing a ton of Dry fire exercises with my Hellcat and can't wait to see how that translates to my actual accuracy.

UPS did it to me again. They delivered my packages to some other residence, and they don't give a rat's arse. I am so sick of incompetence!
