Turned out to be not that bad after all......Unusual for me.

On my Rubi, the driver side exterior handle finally got worn out and junked itself out. Yeah for me!!!! I absolutely hate working inside doors.....Uncle Arthr and fumble fingers just do not make it fun for me. So I went looking around for a write-up to help me decide if I try it myself or get one of my three sons over here to do it. Found this over on another forum.

Well, to me that looked like it would be straight forward and not too painful. Then I began to see a lot of posts about poor fitment of new handles. Great, which one will work? Nobody ever said, that I saw at least, THIS one here works perfect. So I guessed and ordered this one.

Taking my time and plenty of sweating in the nice morning sun, the whole process went pretty smoothly. It fits fine and works. Total time start to finish...... 2 hours. I purposely went at it slow and careful.

Now I think I will vacuum and wipe down the inside ( 5 miles of gravel road does wonders for the interior with a soft top ) then quit while I'm ahead. A big glass of tea and maybe a John Wayne movie sounds good right now.

P.S. Now that I think about it, maybe I should have put this in a different folder like maybe Tips and Write-ups?

Thank you sir.

After some time to think about it, I added a step halfway through the process just to make things easier that I don't recall being in the write-up I posted in the OP.

Probably fought with the window removal for five minutes then decided to lower the window and take the outside window "strip" off the door frame. Then the window came right out without fighting.
