Ok where do you guys/gals get your supplies like heat shrink tubing and solder connectors from? I just called cableorganizer.com and that was a joke.

I get my heat shrink tubing from Harbor Freight. I generally use solderless connectors and solder them if needed. I get those from where ever is closest and open. Auto parts stores, Home Depot etc.

thanks greg, never thought to look in that section. i usually get mine at harbor freight as well....they had a sale on 4 sizes several feet in length for a few bucks last time i went. they have connector assortments as well but they are a little cheaper. you can also check mcmaster-carr or MSC or grainger....then there's summit, jegs....the list goes on.
A great choice for everyone is Fastenal. Setup a cash account and talk to the sales guys. Compare prices you see online and they will work with you. Also, the more you spend the deeper the discount gets.

Love these guys for quality stuff and super customer service. I had ordered an inexpensive package that contained two parts and one or the two arrived cracked. I emailed them to let them know and you would have thought they had sent me a chipped Fabergé Egg or something. They apologized and shipped a complete new package with Second Day Delivery, all on their dime. It's not that common today to find that kind of sincere, honest concern about customer satisfaction.

X2. They have some cool stuff
For good quality fuse blocks, circuit breakers, battery cables, battery switches, and all the hardware to hook it togather, look no further than the nearest West Marine store. If you don't have one of those nearby, the complete West Marine catalog is online and everything they sell can be purchased online.
Figured I'd update....

I used Nutsandbolts.com in Mass. and the ordering was fast and the shipping from Mass. to BFE West Virginia was 2 days.....very nice.
Radio Shack has a good collection of this stuff. Some auto supply stores have crimp connectors etc.

I wasn't looking for just crimp connectors. I was lookign for crimp and soldering butt connectors.....better connection. All of the stores (auto supplies, radio shack, HD, Lowes, etc), never had enough heat shrink either.
Wal Mart.

Just kidding. I get basics from Home Depot also. Specialty stuff I pick up from (hold on to your wallet) Aircraft Spruce & Specialty.

Sorry. How about Fry's Electronics if you have those there, or a general electronics type store?
I like Jameco for electronic supplies.
Great thread and good question, I have often wondered where some of the nice connectors I have seen came from. Got my mark on the thread. :D
