So I will give you a little back story, then get to the point of the thread.....
I was looking for a Jeep for about 6 months, wanted a Rubi, preferred one with a lift already installed. Bought my Oscar in January of 09, flew to Baltimore, and drove back to Chicago, stopping at the Pro Football HOF, and the Rock & Roll HOF. It was everything I wanted it to be. Then I noticed all the friggin noises. Then I started doing the research I should have done before I bought, not after, and find out, that when it comes to TJs, skyjacker sucks big blue donkey balls.

Enough of that, the reason my arms are so sore, I was busting my ass today, putting my Clayton stuff on. Got the passenger side lowers on, drivers side is ready to be cleaned, then get the brackets welded up, and hopefully get the uppers all done by friday. The way the skyjacker stuff is, I have to do it one side at a time......

Wait till you see the pics from the skyjacker stuff that I will post tomorrow.

Forgot my camera at my neighbors place........
Got all the lowers on, upper 3 link mount is on the frame, am going to cut my exhaust and redo the rear lowers tomorrow. So an easy day tomorrow hopefully, he gets there @ 5, I work nights, our schedules don't really jive, but it is across the alley from my house, he has a four post lift, and a Miller 210 to weld it up with. Friday I am hoping to get the rear truss on, not sure about when I will get the front on.

So here is my junk as it sat pretty much on Sunday.....

The junk.......

And what is currently being installed.....

Nice....

(where is the Mt Dew can being mounted?)
Probably going to mount it on the cage & spray it like NOS...
could you measure the distance the clayton trackbar bracket drops the trackbar? or just the distance from the bottom of the frame to the center of the mounting hole would work also. I have been looking into getting there trackbar but cannot find a measurement anywhere.

Thanks in advanced,
George

So I have a progress report.....
Rides great, with just the lowers on, a huge improvement over the other garbage. Just driving to work and back, so now off road report yet, maybe this weekend. I do have an issue with my driveshaft, it is too long/my rear arms are too short(set at 32", I have wiggle room for sure). But I don't have my uppers on yet, so right now it is only a concern, not really a problem. Driving on with front wheel drive for now.

So, that leaves me with this junk.......

Those grind marks, were all that was welded to the frame....

A little corrosion for ya....

Almost there.....
