Does anyone hear a clunk while they are steering? I have this noise and it is happening more and more often. Whenever I turn (mostly offroad) to, or near, full lock I hear a clunk coming from the front end. It is even more pronounced when the sway bar is disconnected and the front axle isn't totally flat. My steering doesn't feel loose at all and I can't see anything rubbing in the front end. Strange. If anyone has any suggestions they will be happily received. This phantom clunk is starting to piss me off.

You're probably going to have a friend crank the wheel end-to-end a few times while you watch, hold and listen to see if you can find it. Of course, while it is parked.

Check your right front lower sway bar mount at the axle with a full right turn. Some jeeps I've seen with 4+ lift some times hit the sway bar mount with the drag link. Just something to check.
