CB external speaker QUESTION

ok so I was thinking about something. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on new headunit for my jeep that has ipod connections and HD radio as well as a functioning CD player, LOL mine hasnt worked since I bought the jeep, not a neccesity because I generally dont keep cd's in the jeep, but it would be nice to listen to one every now and then.

anyway, on to my question.
if the new headunit has a 3.5 aux in jack, can I plug a cable from said aux jack to my CB's ext speaker jack and then hear my CB through the jeep's speakers?

yes. can you connect the radio 3.5mm aux in to the CB 3.5mm aux out.
Being a Jeep that tends to bounce around. I would suggest a HU that has a USB port. My alpine has a wire that comes out the back for Ipod/USB. Thumbdrive with 450 songs on it sits in the glove box. Completely search able and best of all NEVER skips :)
thank you both for advice.
still not sure what direction I am going yet but pretty much every HU I am looking at has USB.
When I upgraded my head unit I was insistent on getting one with the USB port in the front.
Well, then I found a unit that had pretty lights and colors with the cable that runs out the back into the glove box and the original idea flew out the window.

Since then I have learned that having the AUX cable running into the glove box is a god send. I wouldn't have it any other way. It keeps my iPod hidden when I'm using it and keeps my thumb drives out of the elements and out of sight too.

Friends that I have with the port in the front, several have said they hate it there.
