can't find squeal at 1500 rpm

I have a bad squeal that manifests itself between 1500 and 1800 rpm. Sounds like a loose belt at first but after a closer listen, seems to be metal on metal, like a bearing. I have replaced the belt, the tensioner pulley, the idler pulley, the water pump, and the alternator....but the squeal remains.

if you take the belt off and run the engine there is NO squeal. If you turn on the AC, there is no change.

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or has any insight as to what it might be...as you can tell, I've been using the shotgun repair method but it's not getting me anywhere and is going to get expensive if I don't find some direction.

run the engine and with a long screwdriver, use it as a probe and listen to the end to see what accessory is squealing. Have you recently used belt dressing? If so, your belt is now garbage and will keep squealing.
Easier said than done : ). I had a guy listen to the components as best he could with a stethoscope and couldn't pinpoint the sound other than the alternator...which I replaced but didn't fix the problem. I actually did use some belt dressing to see if that worked (it didn't), but that was long after the squeal has been around....so that isn't my problem, although it's good to know that it might make a loud belt worse in the long run.

Any thoughts as to why it's only during a specific rpm range?
What year Jeep?
The '05-'06 models have a lubrication issue with the OPDA that can make a noise like that.
Have you replaced your fan clutch?
It's an '04...what is an OPDA?

I have not replaced the fan clutch...I'll look into that

Oil Pump Drive Assembly. It sits where the distributor once sat.
The upper bushing is famous for running dry and making a squeal noise.

X2!!! I would take Bob's advice and verify the OPDA.

I can tell you, with mine, the squeal was loud. Very loud. Originally, I thought I had a bad pulley. It was intermittent and I wasn't even thinking OPDA. I had a friend listen around while I started and varied rpm's. He put his hand on the OPDA while the squeal was happening and could feel the vibration occuring during the squeal.
X3 on the OPDA/gear.... I started noticing mine while going up steep grades.
