buying TJ, need help telling which axles it has

Im trying to get a Rubicon so Ill have the dana 44's front and rear, but I have found some deals on on others I have considered. I have had a couple of tj's and I remember a guy telling me who was a mechanic at jeep that you could count the bolts on the chunk in the middle of the axle and you could tell real quick if it had a 44 a 35 or a 30 etc,
I mean if i cant get a rubicon , I d love to find one with a 44 rear and 35 front , but i want to know what I am buying and over 90% of the people either dont know or i would not trust someone on thiefbay or craigslist just on their word ehich axle it had.

The other thing is I really want an unlimited and I can not for sure swing a rubicon unlimited unless it got a ton of miles on it, Im just buying out right. A few cars ago i got away from the 500$ or more s month payment so im not financing it i found the perfect one I would consider it but thats not the way i want to go, I want to dump several grand in mods, since i ve had tj's before i already hav started getting myself a mod and research list for the jeep, i know its sad but im a jeeper.

Anyways, back on topic how can i call easily which axle a tj has under it please give front and rear directions to tell which axle
thx guys, and i know im new to this board but i searched and found othing maybe my wording wasnt exact or something if this has been covered,

also looking to buy used tj rubicon, prefer black, electric green , those two are tops and prob a tie, silver, dark silver white, all grey or dark grey interior

Since I can find better deals on jeeps on the internet/ebay/craigslist/ etc
I need to be able to have them take a pic of the axle and let me see it and have something to reference to know what I am driving hours one way to buy b/c alot of well actually most people dont know and if its a dealer they really dont know.
I am really going to try and swing a rubicon but I am unsure yet.
I m in a couple of choices I might be able to swing a rubicon but not an lj rubicon and id really like the extra room, but i dont like lj's looks alot till they r lifted so Anyways I got to make some decisions but knowing what the insurance co is giving me exactly will help alot. anyways thx for the help guys,so if you hear of a good deal on a rubicon please let me know, esp if its black or electric lime green
one more ? the first pic say dana 44 not rubicon, and the dana 44 on the second pic looks exactly the same, so does the dana 44 on the rubicon look different than the one in the picture?

They are exactly the same. To see if it is a rubicon, there should be a wire connection at the top of the differential housing and an air tube on the back, driver side of the pumpkin.
on TJ rubicons the 6th digit of the VIN should be a (6).

axels do get removed and replaced, so make sure you know what axels look like also.
