I cannot get my belt to stop squealing. Added on board air compressor and ever since I'd start up I get a squeal for a bit and then it goes away and the rest of the drive is fine. I have it tighter than I think it should be but it will not stop squealing any ideas

Does your OBA have a lot of resistance to it until it warms up?
I assume you have cleaned then sanded your belt.

How old is your belt?

There's a belt dressing spray you can use but it would be better to identify the source of the squealing.

I have the kilby bracket on my '03 and can not get the start-up squeal gone , I would like to get the Off road only bracket that reuses the auto tensioner. At $295 though, I'll deal with it.

Will look at the offroad bracket. Was not aware that it existed. Belt is less than a year old. Had to put a new one on when i put the OBA system on. Uses a longer belt. It is only at startup and annoying but you could live with it. Unless the wife is in the jeep. I get the evil eye. Lol
