So got some new stuff going on the heep over the next few weeks so thought I would start a thread showing off the progress.

Just picked her up yesterday in Sac and had some non visible items installed including a banks stainless header, centerforce clutch and lots of maintenance. I ordered a Rock Hard cage today and last week ordered a set of billet hood hinges from Prestige (not yet arrived).

few pics taken yesterday

Speaker pod pics with the top down... they sound as good as they look!

New gauge cluster mounted on the center console

That's the Rubicon in the background just above the hood cowl

Also about to start the garage floor painting and paint the walls for the Jeep Cave!

I will post pics as I install the cage and other parts. :evilbat:

After all that work, will this jeep ever be put in a situation where you will need a winch?

Candy Apple Hood would match those taillights perfectly

my painter said he’d do the middle of the hood.

looking great!!!!!

Looks great!

thanks guys, with the paint completed it’s starting to feel like the Jeep is coming together. Still a way to go with getting all the details done like a/c lines, tach, tap for 4 lo, oba setup going, heater core replaced among a list of other things. I have a couple leaks to deal with, one coming from the steering fitting I made and a possible engine oil leak I can’t find yet. Getting closer tho.

rear bumper photos coming tomorrow.

Nevermind, Your post above mine has the list
LOL
so the rear bumper is still in progress of assembly, there are some complicated snags like this one…

Little sick about it, now I have to remove the bumper and put in some spacers so the bumper doesn’t continue to rub the paint. Luckily it’s not in a visible area.

All in the details. I have to get the tachometer working properly so I have to tie into both PCM wiring harnesses and I’m definitely not looking forward to that. I also have a can bus that should make the rear backup lights work, up/down tap shift that will keep 4lo in the gear I want (right now 4 lo just shifts quickly through all six gears). The can bus will also have to tie into the GM PCM. The heater core is shot so I have to remove the dash and replace the core and then there is also a coolant leak somewhere but maybe not (smell may just be the heater core). Front bumper has to be modified so the winch will not touch the front grill. I have a leak with the fitting I made for the steering pump and I also have a minor engine oil leak I have yet to locate. The list goes on…

Rear bumper is overly complex but such a great bumper. I still love the look of it.

Thought it worthy to note I officially purchased the rig 20 years ago. The world is a much different place but I can still hop in the ole girl and take a spin.
