please delete your new account or let us know and we can zap it
make sure your existing account has the proper email
the new account you created has an email that is not connected to account your using

later tonight i will try and force a new password to that account and email you a temp password.
once we get you on the existing account ...
will need you to delete the new one you created

Man, I really am not liking the new outfit that took over my favorite forum. I go away for a week, come back, can't log in, and have what looks like an unsolicited phishing email in my inbox.
Why wasn't the security statement included in the reset email? It was just "oh hey here is your user name and an arbitrary password, click on this link". That is recipe for a quick deletion in my book.
I guess I am back in now for now, at least until the next round of shenanigans.

Understand your frustration Brett. Mac, Greg and I are trying to work through the problems as we are aware of them. One of the most common problems we have dealt with is ROF'ers not keeping their listed email address up to date.
As an editorial aside, if I owned this forum, it would not be running vBulletin forum software but SMF (Simple Machine Forum) but that's a moot point. It is what it is.

My computer is set to log on when I come to this site, but yesterday I could not get in and have no idea what my password is since I have not needed to use it in years. So I was finally able to get a new password emailed to me, but when I try to change my password now it won't allow me to. The Save changes button is not highlighted and nothing happens when I click it.

Hi, I have an account on the site that I haven't used in a while (gojira), but I'm on the prowl for a new Jeep and looking to get back into the Rubicon fold. The problem is the email address I used goes to a now defunct provider. Who can I talk to to get the email addy changed so I can reset the password?

Done. gojira11 was merged with gojira, your email address is now current on gojira. Your new password might or might not work - you might have to click on Forgot Password. Let any of the ROF staff know if you have any problems. And welcome back!
