So I am trying to decide the best path for a roof rack. I am going to be adding a RTT next year after Christmas. I want to carry 2 kayaks sooner that we are purchasing in a few weeks. Should I just buy 2 gutter mount bars and the kayak mount now for that purpose or spend the money and get the platform with backbone system so that I am farther ahead?

What have you guys done? Pictures?
