heres a couple quick pictures I took replacing the turn signal relay that may help someone else

tools needed : phillips screwdriver

remove the 2 phillips screws at the bottom of the steering column - they are on the opposing corners

the upper & lower halves of the steering column shell are clipped together by these tabs - simply press the lower shell to release & remove

the turn signal relay is located here - on top of the column to the right of the hazard button - the relay just plugs in like a light socket I wedged a pencil flat blade screwdriver to "manipulate" it loose

replaced with Napa part # LM470 "flasher" & all is right with the world

Great write up. You might need to sprinkle with a little dirt and dust for some of us to recognize the parts though.

Same process for a 2003, for anyone who might be interested. I did this when I put on my ORO LiteDOTs.

If I can do it, anyone can do it :)
