For the past several weeks I have been unable to open links in threads when using the AutoGuide iPhone app. At first I thought it was just an incompatible photo storage site, but now i see it is all links.

Any idea how to correct this?

Hi John. Yes it does reference Cloudflare.

This is the AutoGuide app. Aren't they now the parent organization?

which app is this? and the screen shot looks like a it's coming from a browser instead of an app?

do you guys have some links that I can use to test this out?

Lee
Lee - apparently it's a Cloudflare and/or DNS problem. I searched for the error terms that Bill got and I got a lot of hits pointing the finger to Cloudflare. I've never heard of them but somehow they are involved in resolving addresses or preventing DNS attacks, etc.

I see why Li was confused. You are still using the original version of the app. The original app was created for us by a 3rd party and we relied on them for support. They have since pulled support for the original app, which necessitated us creating our own version of the app, one in which we had a more direct hand in creating.

Here is a link to the newer app: http://www.autoguide.com/mobile/

We have no control over the original and can't do any support for it. It still works in a limited fashion, but as it ages it will be less so

Thanks. I will take a look. Is it not in the Apple Store?

Well I am trying the new version, and it allows me to follow embedded links.

BUT, so far I do not care for the navigation options. The old version allowed an Unread option that brought up only unread posts. Much easier. Also, on the iPhone at least the menu/navigation selections at the top of the screen are obscured by the iPhone data line that shows time, signal strength, battery state, etc. as you scroll through messages the top line is thus obscured as well.

Was the app subjected to any usability testing? Doesn't seem like it.
