bbusch I have wanted to traverse the Panamint Valley trails ever since I saw the Rick Russel VHS video he made in the 90's. Those waterfalls looked so sick and would be a blast to visit over 20 years later.

katswuy Goler Wash was a fun run, very scenic. There was just a little water seeping into the trail, no real mud. Mengel Pass was fun, we stacked a couple of rocks in one part, mostly to assuage the fears of a newbie type driver. A must-see is the mining ruins at Warm Springs. There are the remains of a motor driven arrastra that is the most complete one I have ever seen. The stones on the bottom are polished smooth, very neat!

katswuy We are headed to Panamint Valley October 16th, planning on doing Goler Wash across to Badwater on the 17th, we will post trail conditions. After that we are headed to the Lone Pine/Eastern Sierra area for a few days.

Mouse We need to show up at Panamint on 6 Nov. We can leave 1-3 days prior, so there is actually time that we could do this. I think Sand Hollow is 6 hours south of us. We will be either tent camping or camping out of our truck, so we are flexible on arrangements. We will be trailering the jeep.

svtotem We will be at Temple View RV Resort 10/23 to 11/8. Our large club likely has that park full through 11/2 when the rally ends. We are staying a several days longer than the others. The event was capped at 75 families so they likely overflowed into other campgrounds.

What dates were you traveling?

johncanfield Don, check out Sand Hollow State Park - right across the road from the playground.

Bill, I'll take a look at our route to Panamint and see if we can include a day or two to go through St George. We have not been down there yet, but are looking forward to see the awesome wheeling there. It would be nice to see you again as well. Are there any camping spots available?
