Rules for Vendors (Preferred or regular) on ROF

All,

This forum is a place for users to provide feedback to Manufacturers and Vendors regarding products and services. A healthy interaction between a Manufacturer or Vendor and end users will help us all in getting the products we want, with the quality we want, and sometimes even at the prices we want. However, to prevent the integrity of Rubicon Owners Forum (ROF) from being violated, there are some strict rules that will be aggressively enforced in this forum and throughout the board.

Rules for Manufacturers and Vendors
1. Under no circumstances may a Manufacturer or Vendor advertise, promote, announce, or otherwise attempt to persuade users of this board to purchase a product or service offered by the Manufacturer or Vendor. Any attempt to do so will result in the Manufacturer or Vendor being warned. Continued attempts will result in removal from the board.

2. Under no circumstances will any Manufacturer or Vendor engage in competition with other Manufacturers or Vendors on this board. This will result in the removal of the Manufacturers or Vendors from this board.

3. Manufacturers or Vendors shall restrict their participation on this board to this forum. Unless the Manufacture or Vendor actually owns a Rubicon (must be verified, sorry), there is no reason to use any of the other forums. However, the occasional post in another forum is OK, if answering a question pertaining to themselves or the products that they offer.

4. Manufacturers or Vendors, upon signing up on the board, will inform Mac of their presence, and either a unique name or header will be assigned to the Manufacturer or Vendor so that they are easily identified. If you do not contact me and you advertise on this board, you will be removed.

5. Avatar With Approval:
You may use your business banner as your avatar. Use of it in your sig is prohibited. Using your signature as an advertisement for your business is prohibited. There are buttons for you website and email address, use them. The admin staff will remove these if found.

6. Logging on an alias or employee to promote, entice or in any form attempt to create business for you will result in the removal of all accounts. This is not to prevent your employees from joining the forum if they own a Rubicon or Jeep as long as they are here as members and not as your employee’s.

7. Complaints about continued lack of customer support will result in a review of your status on ROF and may result in your removal.

8. No flaming is still a policy on ROF and will be maintained. Defending against allegations is allowed as long as civility is maintained and only the issue is discussed, with facts. Issues with members on the board should be addressed to me, so that the Admin staff can resolve the issue.

9. We reserve the right to modify, add to or subtract from these rules at any time.

10.Manufacturers are not to start a Group Buy sale without the permission from Mac

Rules for Preferred Vendors
1. Under no circumstances will any Preferred Vendor engage in competition with other Preferred Vendors on this board. This will result in the removal of the Preferred Vendor from this board.

2. Preferred Vendors may post in other forums on this board, but should normally limit their participation on this board to this forum. Unless the Preferred Vendor actually owns a Rubicon, (must be verified, sorry), at which point all forums are open with the understanding that unless they are addressing a question pertaining to themselves or their product they are just another member on the board.

3. Preferred Vendors upon being chosen to be a Preferred Vendor you will be assigned Preferred Vendor header so that they are easily identified. You are not limited to what you use as a screen name.

4. Preferred Vendors are allowed to use their business logo as their avatar and in their sigs.

5. Preferred Vendors are allowed to post sales, specials, and information about new items in the Vendors forum. They are also allowed to either post or PM a member about an item they may carry if a member is looking for that item. If 2 Preferred Vendors carry the item they can both post that they have it, but will not compete against each other for the sale. It will be the member’s choice. Complaints about aggressive marketing will be reviewed.

10.
Group Buy type sales are reserved for Approved Vendors.
Members are prohibited from offering a Group Buy sale.

Please forward any complaints to Mac and they will be investigated. It may sound like I am being harsh with these rules, but I am taking the interests of members of Rubicon Owners Forum to heart. I simply do not want Manufacturers or Vendors trying to push or advertise products, provide misinformation to members, or to engage in competition on this board. If you do not agree with the above rules then please contact me and I will remove your account from this board.
This board is supported by its members; participation by vendors and manufacturers is strictly at our discretion.

Admin.
