GA, SC, NC Trails

I was wondering if anyone in the ROF community would be interested in a meetup in the coming year. While I really enjoy working on vehicles and consider myself a mid-low level tech, I am very inexperienced with off-roading. I have put a lot into my rubi lately and its time to stretch her legs on a trail. I'm down here in the lowcountry of SC, but I would love to make a trip up the Appalachians for a couple of days of trail riding. Dates can be figured out later. Just taking a pulse for now.

Hope you can get hooked up with somebody. Jeep Jamborees are expensive and they usually pack too many Jeeps in a group but all-in-all it's a fairly decent venue for beginners.

I hope ROF has a reunion in Utah. I think SC is too far for me to travel for some trail riding. I know some non-ROF folks in SC. I can make introductions if you'd like. PM me if you want me to put you in touch. They hang with the local clubs out that way.

I developed a couple of routes through GA, TN and NC. They use roads open to the public. They are 50% dirt, 50% pavement (mostly county roads). There are only a few spots where 4 wheel drive is necessary, but it is away from the crowds and a lot of fun. I laid out the routes on motorcycles, bur I have also ridden them in my jeep. The information, including maps, is shared in Facebook groups. Often, group members post with their plans and invite other to go along. Join us on Facebook.
