Jeep Modification Build Journal

My modified 04’ Rubicon came with a detailed build journal, just an invaluable notebook full of mods, vendor, parts, part number, service history, problems, repairs. Info up to 69,000 miles, has 89,000 on it now.

Absolutely incredible. I have never done this before, but think that I will start the same.

I never would have figured out 98 Ford Explorer brakes. Anybody else do a journal?

One time I went into buy from a major four wheel parts supplier. “Oh,” they said, “You’ve spent a lot of money here.” Evidently they had a journal developing on my behalf. Yeah, thanks a lot.

Another...Wife on the phone five minutes after a credit card purchase, “What did you just buy for $150?” I must admit, I need her to keep me accountable, and I’m better off.

It doesn't matter who you are until you are whom you are supposed to be.

Oops. Nothing like the CFO yanking your chain - I'm well familiar with that situation .

My build journal is here on ROF in the Tips Techniques and Write up board.

I did my Yamaha Grizzly and RZR builds that way, Photobucket wiped me out. All pics are site hosted now, no more Photobucket for me.

I keep a small notebook inside Rubi which I use as a maintenance log. I record the date, mileage, work done and part numbers. I keep a binder inside the house with receipts, vendor info, etc. It has served me well.
