Totally worth it in my opinion. Loved the TJ Rubi and have been looking for a stock low miles LJ Rubi for a long time.
So what will you do? Pavement Princess? Or lift/tires/wheels and thrash the heck out of it? I am not judging, just curious.

2014 JKU, JKS lift,Poison spyder flares, bombshell covers,Rancho D2 control arms, JKS adjustable track bars, 35" Tires. GrabBars, Crawler Conceptz rear bumper, Smitty front bumper, Winch. Rough Country inner fenders, Teraflex Disco Mud Flaps

If I find one with no rust and either the Dauntless V-6 or a small block Chevy, upgraded drivetrain and steering and in excellent condition I would consider paying 20 K for it. Jeeps are collectible!
A couple weeks ago I was talking to a friend who works at dealership and he told me that they have a 1986 CJ-7, either Renegade or Laredo (I can't remember what he said), with under 250 miles. Apparently it gets used in a parade once or twice a decade. It's just sitting in a corner of the warehouse. He's been trying to convince them to put it in the showroom. They could probably sell it as a "new" car.

Going to build like my 03 Rubi was.

OME lift, ARB bumper, winch and 33ís. Nothing too crazy.

My '06 LJ Rubi was bought in October 2005. $25,243.00 out the door. 6 speed hardtop/soft top. I have 26,000 miles on it and I'd probably take $25, 243.00 for it now, but that probably would not pan out.

A friend of mine just picked up a '05 LJ Rubi Sahara model soft top that was bone stock. Original tires. 16,000 miles. I think he paid (stole) $15,000 Very nice Jeep if you can get over the chrome grill.

Another guy I know bought a '06 LJ Rubi from a professional baseball player earlier in the year. It had like 2500 miles on it. I imagine he paid a pretty penny for it but he isn't telling.

If I was looking I'd be looking at low mileage '04 and under rigs due to the great unknown that is the OPDA.

But even then the low mileage '05-'06 Rubi LJ's are easy to sell at a good price.

Don't be afraid to buy Jeeps that have sat long periods of time. Mine has 37K, sits most of the time and has no issues with long periods of rest. Just depends on how they get stored, which is usually very apparent upon inspection. For instance just this year it got its second set of tires

Hey! Yes silver is the best color
I am running 33X12.5X15. I wont have another jeep on 35's unless it has a V8 under the hood. In the future, if I live long enough and the little 4.0 kicks the bucket I well do a V8 swap. I have a couple of F350 Dana 60s and other odds and ends gathering dust for the day. Are you running 35s?

Nope I am still on stock tires and suspension. Been rattling my head about what lift to ho with, tire size, tire type, etc. I drive mine on the road more than trails so good road manors are important to me. I'll be taking it to Moab in Oct and trying to decide if I wanna pull the trigger and lift it or just leave it as is and see how it does.

A V8 swap or stretching it to an LJ would also be nice. Sadly neither are cheap.
