Well I hope everyone had a great weekend. I as usual did some hiking and exploring. I found an adit to a mine, however I was not able to get inside due to some metal bars that had been concreted in place. I managed to find most excellent parking for the Jeep while I explored on foot.
Hike, shoot, wheel and repeat, another fantastic weekend!!

Well.....today was another beautiful AZ day. I was hiking in an area that I have hiked a few times before. Today I was seeing how fast I could climb(did 4 mountains!). Took a nice nap on a ledge of the last one. Two are pretty intense hikes, for me at least. The last legs of both climbs being completely vertical. The vertical bits I am used to, however both of these mountains always have tons of bees. I mean so many bees it's actually loud in places. Haven't been stung on either, but it's nothing to look down at any moment and have 5-10 bees crawling around on you.
Shot a lot of 300 blackout today and a bit of 9mm. I hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start and you are all putting some miles on your Jeeps!

All you need in that last picture to make it complete is a dog sitting next to the rifle.

Well so far the old Jeep has taken the friendly dog and I out for a hike near the house. I wish I could take Phobos and Deimos out(two of the dobies) as they do really well in the heat, however they are the worst of the bunch when it comes to social interaction. God forbid we ran into a hiker or another animal, it would be a catastrophe if they chose not to listen. My girlfriend says they(the dobies) are "a bunch of dicks." You wouldn't think a group of dogs could be dick-ish in nature, however I think its a fair assessment LOL.

I can only imagine what the GF would think of my pups. They like one person.

If I am honest she is amazing with them, but they could definitely be nicer to her. The dobies are a bit nasty, but the lab totally loves her. Its funny the lab tries to mimic the other dogs and when they act aggressive he will growl and bark too, however his tail wags and he bounces up and down, it's hilarious. He couldn't intimidate a house fly LOL.

I think it's a Lab thing. My Lab would do the same till you put your hand over the fence to pet him. It did however keep a drunk in Clearwater from coming near the yard after the incident.
