Yes, you can do just the back...
I suggest these pads...https://www.quadratec.com/products/56214_0303.htm

Get ceramic pads!!! Do not get bi-ceramic, unless you like your rims with brake dust all over them...
Never-seize the calipers slide when you have it apart.


Note ceramic pads ARE more money, but they last much longer, and they don't dirty your wheels.
