Hey! You don't need to preach that to me! I've been an NRA Life member for 30 years, and voted FOR Making America Great since I was old enough to vote! lol

Yea, I don't belong here anymore. It was a great place to grow up in the 50's and 60's, not so much now. It's become awful and the crazyness is only getting worse. That being said, as a native, I can say that I've seen the change that has taken place and a lot of it is due to crazy people from other regions that have moved into the large metro areas of LA, San Diego, and San Francisco. Rural California is still okay, the people are great. But the large metro areas are overwhelmingly Democrat and dominate the state legislature with a super majority. The number of solid Californian's that were born here in the 50's, 60's and even 70's I suspect are mostly a minority.

Yea, I really like the area between Austin and San Antonio. Nice rolling hill country. In fact, last time I was in San Antonio, not only did I tour the Alamo I also visited the Lucchese Brothers Boot Shop and bought a pair of custom made/fit boots! They're in my closet as I speak! lol

I'm struggling to keep my head above water. We are about half unpacked, I don't know where most of my tools are, and half the boxes are still unopened.

The surprising facts about McFarland WI include the fact that all land owning residents are required to participate in "noxious weed abatement" by town ordinance. I have only lived here since this past Monday, but judging by the number of dandelions in the lawn, I am not in compliance. I don't even own a lawn mower any more, I've been trying to get a lawn service for two days, but the Memorial Day holiday frenzy is making it difficult.

The twin Grandkids are a joy, and we will attend their 4th birthday party next week. But oh my, 3-4 year olds are intense and fierce, I had forgotten just how intense.

I have internet, phone, and cable TV now. Food and Samual Adams Boston Lager in the refrigerator as well. The essentials. But the Rubicon languishes in a garage hundreds of miles away. I miss it.

Life just smacked me in the face. I told you we had hired two guys to pack our PODS in California. They were general handyman types, and we got to know them pretty well over 5 weeks.

One of them is now dead, he had a heart attack at work and was pronounced dead 2 hours later. His buddy is broken up, and I'm upset. Life goes on, but this guy was 4 years younger than me, and his kid is the one who bought the 1967 Kaiser Jeep Commando from me.

Wow! I keep up with my AT&T colleagues from years ago (Facebook group) and it’s always disheartening to hear about a person I knew and worked with that passed away. The great circle of life.

Glad to hear things are going well, when I first saw the thread title I was worried.
