Trying to see the floor.

I've been trying to clean my shop so I can use my tools. It's been long neglected. I moved back to Mobile after a divorce and I was overwhelmed I suppose with moving and the lawyers.

The other day I had to make a part for my road bike. I unburied my drill press and made the part. I guess this sparked something as I have been in the garage trying to make the path thru it larger. lol
I am finding all kind of stuff out there. My mom saves her plastic cat litter containers for me. I use them for everything and it keeps critters out.
I have found so many wire nuts I am using one for them, it's about a 1/4 full now.
I also jumped a little when this big rat jumps out of a box I was moving. I put some peanut butter on a trap and hopefully it will be caught.
Any Vietnam Vets here eat chuot xao xa ot while there?

I always ate at one of the Vietnamese kiosks/food stands on Tan Son Nhut AB - all of the food was apparently 'borrowed' from the Air Force, the cans were all olive drab with typical military markings.

I'm guessing chuot xao xa is something I wouldn't willingly put in my mouth .

It's rat with lemon grass. Yep, the good ole black market, I liked those olive drab cans, beans and meatballs. Yum. Then there was the peanut butter in the original MRE's that could be used for mortar. LOL

Work is postponed until my garbage can gets emptied. I did find a propane fumigator I bought several years ago when I thought people/family would visit me. It had never been used till today. It works okay once you figure out how to use it. I fumigated the shop with it. What's odd while cleaning I have not seen one bug dead of any sort. The rats must be eating them.

Plenty of snakes about, they just don't survive long in the yard.

The garbage can was emptied yesterday, and after a couple hours this morning it is full again.

I am throwing out most of the stuff I might use one day which has been taking up space for years waiting for the apocalypse. LOL
I am finding lots of useful items though. All kind of hardware. I won't need nuts/bolts of any sort for awhile. I've found tools, some specialized which I don't even remember what their use is.

The shop is still a mess, but the path I walk is not as narrow anymore. As long as I stay on the straight and narrow path I won't fall.

Here's a pix of the north end of my shop a few minutes ago. I have about four different shop projects going on and things are getting really jumbled up. Almost tripped on a cord or air hose yesterday.
