Mac you are doing a great job.
At 6’5” and 205# I have never needed to watch my weight, but last year realized I needed an exercise routine, particularly for core muscles. Foot problems from decades of running now make even walking problematic. (Thank you Uncle Sam)
The answer for me turned out to be Total Gym. The corny Chuck Norris and Christy Brinckly ads aside, this piece of equipment works. A friend recommended it. He has used it for fifteen years following bypass surgery.
At 74 years old my abs are harder than at any time in my life, but the six pack is hidden by a few cookies. I spend about thirty minutes every other day.
The key, of course, is keeping at it consistently. Having a setup at home helps since it is easy to put off making a trip to the gym, even if there is one nearby. In my case there isn’t. Anyone considering home exercise equipment should take a look at Total Gym.
