I highly suggest this product if you have a JK Freedom top! HotHead Headlinertoday when i left the office the inside of the JK was not an oven.. it was very confortable inside for the ride home. I can`t thank Mark enough for the awesome service and outstanding product if you have an LJ ...they have a kit for you.

I like that. I know my JK top always gets so hot when I am not going very fast, and it just radiates into the cabin.

Cool looking product. I've seen some DIY solutions on another forum and they're about the same price as this. Do you know what kind of warrenty they're offering Mac?

I am not worried.

 Re: new product...
My post was not intended to be be an insult as to the build quality. It definatly looks like an excellent product and I'm strongly considering it. My post was actually supposed to point out that the price he's asking is really a value when compared to the DIY products I've seen. It's cheaper and appears to be of much higher quality. I appologize if my post came across any other way. That being said, I do still wonder about the warrenty. Do you know what filler material he's used? I've seen some people try certain materials that were lined in foil which blocks the Sirius antenna on the JK from getting radio stations. Has it made an appcreitable diffrence in how hot the cab of the JK gets?

 Re: new product...
I think that would look even better with the white areas done in bed liner or something.

Has it made an appcreitable diffrence in how hot the cab of the JK gets? the material does not block the sat radio...he has the material as thick as possible the locking bars on the driver side limit the thickness. the inside of the JK is so much cooler now the AC works a lot faster due to the avg temp is a lot cooler. JeepinJon wrote: I think that would look even better with the white areas done in bed liner or something. i like the contrast from the white to the grey you could always use the interior spray paint and color match the insulation

Skippman, Hey Skippman, this is Mark the designer builder of the HotHead Headliners. I saw your questions and will try to answer them. The headliner panels are made out of automotive water proof panel board, often use for making custom door panels, and foam backed headliner material which is found in just about every car. There is nothing metallic to interfere with a satellite radio. As far as a warranty, all I have is a 30 day return policy which is stated on my web site. If you have any more questions you can pose them here or write me directly through the web site. Mark

 Re: new product...
I didn't mean to double post that, I'm new at how this forum works. I forgot to touch on the temperature issue. We did temperature measurements of the outside top of the hardtop which on a 93 degree days was 160 to 170. The inside face of the headliner panels were 120 to 130 and the inside of the Jeep was about 115. These measurements were done after the Jeep was sitting in the direct sun for a couple hours with the windows up. The headliners won't keep your Jeep from getting hot inside on a hot day, but they do allow your air conditioner to cool the inside down much faster and keep it that way without working to hard. And they keep that 160 degree hardtop heat from radiating down on your head.

 Re: new product...
Thanks for the sale, Mark! For those interested, there are some helpful videos of the installation posted on yourtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV0h93U6ca0 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOXoLK0jHJ4 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSlqXcY3 ... re=related Though probably not in addition to the new 10% off sale, Mark supports the troops by offering 10% off to all active military members all the time! I'll be ordering my panels either this evening, or tomorrow. I plan on waiting until the summer, painting the inside of the hardtop black, then installing the panels. ***Edit*** Nevermind, I just ordered the panels right now. Oh and shipping was free too! Mark, I received a message delivery failure in my inbox. Seems possibly your email isn't working correctly?

 Re: new product...
Sorry about the email failure notice. All headliner orders go through fine but sometime the person ordering receives an email failure notification. I've talked to my web host company and they can't seem to figure it out. If anyone experiences a problem they can always email or call, My cell number is on our web site and I do answer it. Sorry for any confusion. Mark

 Re: new product...
One of these days I'll get my insulation panels installed. I'm waiting until I have some time to pull off the entire top, scuff the underside and paint it flat black, let it dry and then install the panels.
