Post GPS to Computer. what program do you use?
I have the Garmin Etrex Legend and Quest 2, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to download the tracks onto the computer. Am I even suppose to be able to transfer the saved tracks? If so, what program do you use?

I use Mapsource, which has been working great for me. It came with my GPS, but I have since downloaded a more recent version from Garmins website.

give Easy GPS a try. It is free and should be compatible with your units.

http://www.easygps.com/

I like it better than Mapsource, it if only worked for my gps on my boat.

Garmin Mapsource for me. I can use it to upload more detailed maps into the GPS as well.

Mapsource has the capability to port the tracks over to google earth, which is really cool.

I use Delorme's TopoUSA. I use a seperate product for street navigation. But a Jeep travels where streets do not exist. This terrain is recorded on USGS Topo Maps, and you need a copy of the topo database to navigate offroad.

I use Garmin Basecamp, Mapinstall, and Map Manager. All for a Mac though.

I have an Oregon 450. There is a file in there for the tracks. I've pulled it off and made an overlay on Google Earth to show someone the trails they cut out on their property. I'm not sure if other GPSs create their own file also.

You should check out gpsfiledepot.com. They have some links to good maps and also they have a tool section that gives you links to very helpful sites.
