Rubi Fender Flares

I read some where that Rubi flares are factory painted. Are they ? Anyway mine ( 06 ) are looking a little dull so whats a good product to put a little shine back on them ? No Armor All please .

'05 were not painted IIRC. They are the gray flares and pretty obviously different from other ones. Mine are painted (03) and a coat of wax used to make them look new till they got drug through the rocks

My 05's are painted a flat grey color. Scratches show the black underneath.

my 05's are painted black. I just waxed my jeep last weekend and I specifically tried to avoid getting wax on the flares, UNTIL I noticed I did get a small streak on one and wiped it off and the flare looked new in that one spot. so I waxed a bigger spot just to see what happened and it looked GOOOOD. so I waxed all 4 flares and they look pretty darn good. except the spots of rock rash

The polymer wax "Liquid Ice" works very well on the flares and easy a easy wipe on a walk away if you like all though buffing looks much better.

Re: Rubi Fender Flares

My '05 flares are painted and are peeling pretty bad on the front part of the rear flares where they get rockrash. I've been hesitant to re-paint them as the fronts look like new and I don't want to have to paint them to match. I might simply spray the peeling area with some bedliner to ward off future rock chips.

Re: Rubi Fender Flares

I have an '06 and whenever my flares, Warn 6", start getting a little dull I use Back to Black. I think it is from Mother's.

Re: Rubi Fender Flares

My flares are scratched and peeling. Probably because I have rubbed them on rocks and trees. It's a Jeep.

Re: Rubi Fender Flares

My 03 Rubi has terrible rock rash and unpainted flares...I just Armor All the black bits, top, flares, factory bumper ends (no tires)...I've not found anything else to do the job.
